Braxton is 7 months old

My sweet little man is 7 months old! He brings joy to our lives every day. He also brings stress...but we will forget about those times right now! Some of his favorite things to do:

1. He loves to have any and all attention

2. Loves to watch Trenton and laughs at the silliest things

3. He loves to try new foods...he does not like peas so much...he makes himself gag when I feed these to him!

4. He is up on all fours...rocking back and forth!

5. He is finally sleeping 8-9 hours at night. Now to conquer nap time!

6. He loves to be outside

7. Always very content when in Mommy's arms!

We love you so much Pooper. Your cute smile and little laughs make our hearts soar every day!

Nickolas and Heather Come to Town

Heather and Nickolas came to town for a week to play. We had so much fun and kept ourselves very busy! I had to show Heather that it is fun to come and visit her sissy...last time she came I was just starting the sick portion of my pregnancy with Braxton, which just went downhill while she was here, and continued after she left. So needless to say...it was a crappy vacation she had last summer. This year however, we were so busy and had so much fun that she is planning on coming again in July!

Trenton and I had some of our favorite things planned for them. Our first outing was at Jumping Jacks. Trenton was not totally thrilled that we were going there, last time we went he got a pretty nasty burn on his belly as he came down one of the slides. Braxton and I enjoyed our time together as we walked around and watched the three of them bounce and slide around! Heather and Nickolas however, LOVED IT! Heather was even up and down on all the slides, sometimes carrying two boys on her lap as she came down! She too received a couple of little boo boos from all her playing, but I think she was pretty pleased with the day!Trenton was very excited to take Nickolas to the Children's Museum. They both had fun playing in all the different exhibits. The each enjoyed the different costumes that are around. Nickolas dresses up as a cow,and Trenton dressed up as a fire fighter and a mailman!Too bad...they did not have the tarantula out this time. I know how bummed Heather was about that!
We enjoyed ourselves at a couple of lunch dates, a memorial day BBQ and Grandma's house with the family, the dinosaur museum and a little bit of house showing! Thanks for coming to visit us...we had such a great time and can't wait for July!

Trenton's Spring Program

So my cute Trenton had his Spring Program at school a couple of weeks ago. He has been practicing for this for a couple of months now. He has come home many days singing me new songs and doing cute little dances. He was so excited to have his program and made sure that we were all going to be there to watch. It was so cute to see them walk in...he was a little unsure of the whole situation. It took him a couple of songs to warm up, he just kind of stood there looking like he might cry and stared at the audience! Every Tuesday they would have show and tell to help them learn how to speak in front of their peers, or a group. To start their show and tell they would have to say "Hi, my name is ____". So they each stood up and introduced themselves to the audience. He sat very quietly and waited his turn...I wonder if he had butterflies in his tummy.They then continued on with the program and even did a couple of dances. This is when he finally brightened up and showed his stuff! Even a parent commented on how he must have been practicing all the dances at home. What can I say??? It is in his blood!I think he was the most excited when the program was over and he got to come over to us and give us big loves. I was so proud of my little man. I still remember the first day I dropped him off and cried on my way home! I think that is actually the very first post I ever did.It is so good to see him interact with his friends and his teachers. He has really enjoyed going to school this year and starts to tell me of all the things he learned about as soon as he gets into the car. Thanks to Miss Catherine and Miss Eleni, Trenton has had a very successful year with lots of good memories and some very strong building blocks. Good Job big boy, thanks for putting on such a wonderful program!

GRADUATION!

I can't believe that we are DONE with school!!! I can not stress enough how nice it is to know Josh is going to be home sometime between 5 and 6 and that we get his attention for the rest of the evening...for the most part. We sometimes have to share with basketball! It was a wonderful day. Graduation was on May 8th and Josh had decided he only wanted to take part in his colleges' ceremonies...fine by us, didn't have to sit as long!

The day started with the ceremonial taking off of the last chain! Josh was so honored to be able to take the chain off on this day...so excited, he even decided to eat it!!! Ok, not really, he just likes to take funny pictures.Trenton was so excited, and little did he know that Mommy and Daddy had a special surprise for him. Right before we left we showed him that he too had a cap and gown just like Daddy's! Since he has been thru this long journey with us the entire time, we thought it would be perfect! He loved it and said all day it was his graduation day too!

We got there in time to get perfect seats, take some fun family pictures, and of course Mr. Poopy Pants had to live up to his name and poop thru his entire cute outfit. So, he got to bum it the rest of the day in a onesie and a blanket. So much for cute outfits all around! Oh well...we got him taken care of stress free and still had time to wait for the festivities to begin.

The ceremony only lasted about an hour and a half. Josh's friend Eric was the last speaker and we enjoyed his talk and he reminded the class of their special memories, including Josh always saying it was time to take a soda break! I laughed at that one! After that was done we walked over to the architecture building for some goodies. We then all went to lunch at Tucano's to celebrate...and that was a wonderful meal! At this point we all went to our separate destinations to rest. Josh thought his day was over, but little did he know how sneaky I had been and had a surprise graduation/birthday party awaiting for him that night at Mark and Kim's house. I made up some excuse to go and he was shocked to see the family and some friends all gathered in his honor. It was a fun filled day and I am so proud of all the hard work that Josh had to do in order to get to this day. Good job honey, I love you so much and am so grateful for everything you do for our family!

Trenton is 4 years old!

May was such a busy, fun, and important month that I fell completely behind in my blogging...so, I am now repenting!

My baby is 4 years old! I can not believe that I had this little man four years ago...how time does fly. This year Trenton was lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents in town for his birthday as well as two of his aunties! He thought he was so special....okay, he is! His birthday was the day before Daddy's graduation, so we had lots of fun. Trenton asked me if he could have a birthday party this year. What??? You are only turning 4, I thought for sure I had at least another year before I had to do this! How can you turn such a cute boy down? So, we had a spider man party and a Carl's Jr. that had a playground! All I had to do was buy a kids meal for each kid, provide some cake, and off they went to the playground!!! I know, sounds simple, right? Oh my goodness...I didn't get to sit down for more than 3 minutes to shove my hamburger down my throat. People that have parties at their homes are crazy. To have to come up with things to entertain the kids, feed them at least cake, and then clean up....NO THANK YOU!

In any case, all the kids had fun and Trenton thanked us for a couple days after for his spider man party. You are so welcome my sweet love...your smiles make it all worth it!

We kept it small. He invited 3 friends that we took with us, and the rest were cousins. It was nice to have family there to celebrate and visit with! Josh even got up into the play area to take some fun pictures!

Even Brayden got into all the fun!!! Who ever put height limits on these play areas are crazy....people of all ages love them!

One of the tables that we took over!! See what I mean about the mess!!! I was so grateful to just have to throw things out and not worry about the floor, etc.!

I could not find a spider man cake anywhere!! I thought it would be an easy one! Oh well...Smiths bailed me out, had some spider man thing that stuck to a window, threw it on the cake, put some spider webs on it, and called it good! The kids loved it!

Happy Birthday my Sweet Love! You make us so happy and we love you so much!

Some Fun at the Farm

After being ripped off for profesional pictures when Braxton turned 3 months...I decided to put Daddy's skills to the test. I asked Josh to come with us to Wheeler's Farm to take some pictures of our Braxton at his 6 month mark. Of course, Trenton had to get in and Daddy (and I) started to just have fun with the camera. So...if you don't like pictures...stop now because that's all there is to see!
