We had a good Easter this year. This year Easter fell on General Conference weekend, so we got all dressed up the Sunday before. We also had the opportunity to watch my sweet Sadie Lady Gorgeous Girl for the week!!
It is an Easter tradition in our new ward to have an Easter egg hunt and light breakfast the Saturday before Easter for all the primary kids. It is usually outside, but because it was so stinkin cold, they split the kids up by age and sent them to different classrooms to find their eggs. Trenton was in a different room than Sadie and Braxton, and had to work a little harder to get his eggs. The "babies" had a blast finding their eggs on the floor. Braxton knew what to do right away somehow and threw them in his basket as he ran for the next. Sadie was a little more timid...but still had a great time!
We started our Easter morning looking for the boys' Easter baskets. Trenton started, and it did not take Braxton long to follow and figure out what was going on. Braxton found his first and loved the books, Elmo socks, crayons and of course candy he found inside.
The Easter Bunny was a little bit harder on Trenton this year. He actually had to open things and look for his Easter basket. After a game of hot and cold...cause you know...Mom and Dad have the inside track....he found his basket! He loved his Spider Man kite, socks, drawing pad, candy, but most of all his slinky!
After baskets were found we headed over to Mom and Dad's house for a big homemade breakfast and to watch conference. It was kind of hard trying to keep the kids focused on Conference, yet still keeping the spirit of Easter in there. Grandma printed them some activity sheets to do while listening, I think Heather and I spent most the time doing them! We then let them dye their eggs during the morning session as we tried to listen! Trenton and Nickolas did all the eggs mostly by themselves. Braxton finally got interested when it was time to put stickers on the eggs, it worked out perfectly!
As I was helping the kids with the eggs...Daddy was very intent on listening to Conference with Uncle Paul!
The boy's enjoyed hanging out with Grandma all day long! I am so glad she has so much patience with them and loves her Grandbabies soooo much!
Of course...we had to have an Easter egg hunt on Easter with Nickolas, so Grandma watched the boys as the parents went out to hide eggs. It had snowed the night before, but most of the snow had melted in the front yard. It was pretty cold, but the boys did not seem to notice one bit!
Once all the eggs were found we headed in to check out all the loot. There was candy, coins and stickers for everyone!
Once our fabulous turkey dinner was eaten we headed over to Aunt Bonnie's to end the day with our monthly FHE with the entire family. All in all we had a great Easter and can hardly wait for the snow to go away so we can enjoy the rest of our spring!

Well, Spring has sprung, and although the snow is not completely finished with us yet, we have had some beautiful days. Josh decided it was time to get the thing put back together and up for our boys. With some help he got it all bolted again and put into the ground. The slide didn't get up until about a week later, but the kids LOVE it! I love that every morning Trenton looks out the window of my bedroom to see what the weather is like and immediately asks if he can go outside when it is nice!
