The Parsons Family
January 16th was a special day for my cousin Jenn and her cute family. Jenn and Josey went to the temple for the first time, and their they were then sealed to their beautiful baby girl Viloet. Josh and I were so excited and honored to be able to witness the special day in their lives. We love them so much and are so glad they are now an eternal family!

Braxton is 15 months!
So it has been a while since I have updated on our little pooper...other than his poopy problems! He is now 15 months old, has three teeth, LOVES to eat, runs around everywhere, and says lots of words.
When I say he loves to eat, I am not joking. The kid knows exactly what he wants for each meal, and will take about 30-40 minutes eating. This is not because he is a slow eater, quite the opposite, instead he is constantly shoveling the food in his mouth asking for more, and wanting to do it all by himself! His favorites lately include crackers, popcorn, spaghetti noodles, shakes (thanks to Grandma!), chicken and cheese!

His words have exploded this past week or so. Here is a list of words that he says: more, please, milk, juice, popcorn, snack, Mommy, Daddy, Brothy, Papa (grandma), mama (Grandma), aunti, hamburger, no, food, bath, poop, baby, papa (pizza), bread, up, monkey, doggy, puppy, hello (when he is playing with a phone), bye-bye, and hi. He will mimic just about anything anyone says, I call him my little Parrot sometimes! It has been fun to give him words to try and see how he ends up saying them!
We took him to the doctor for his 15 month check up. He is only 20lbs (4%), but the doctor says he is gaining weight that is consistant with where he has been, so he is not worried about it! What I thought was going to be just a regular check up, we ended up being told he has RSV. What? So do I get Mom of the Year? Sure, he has been coughing for the past week or so, but he has been teething as well, with a little bit of a runny nose, not anything to be worried about. So, now he is doing the nebulizer (fishy face) with two different medications, and is on an oral steroid to try and open his lungs. Sheesh...of course when I think it is nothing and don't take him in, it is something! His oxygen levels were fine, so no trips to the hospital!
He finally got his hair cut. My dad kept calling him a little old man! He really does not have that much hair, just a bunch of whispies.
It was kind of long in the back, but very thin. He wasn't that excited about it, kept pushing the girl away and saying "all done".
She laughed and thought he was cute (which of course he is!) So now he is all trimmed up, with little bit of shape, and nothing over his ears. What a cute feller!

Can't believe how quickly the time has gone. We love our sweet boy and life would not be the same without him!
Trenton Earned His Blending Badge
So Trenton gets in the car as I pick him up from school on January 11 and says to me:
T: Mom, something very special happened to me today.
M: Oh...what happened?
T: (as he pulls his badge from underneath his coat) I earned my blending badge! I know how to read!
M: (I hurry and pull over) WHAT? Already? Baby I am so proud of you. Good job!
T: So do we get to go to Bonsai tonight??
I am so proud of him. In order to receive their blending badge the kids have to be able to blend letters together and read small books on their own to their teachers. He is such a smart boy! We got on the phone with Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa to see when everyone could go to dinner to celebrate. Unfortunately, I had my first night of school and so we had to go on Tuesday night! We had fun watching the volcano, and all the other cool tricks the chef did. Daddy caught the shrimp in his mouth, but everyone else...not so much!
Great job Trenton, we are so proud of you!
Hair Cut
Pictures to come!
Not because it is a new year...but just because I needed a CHANGE! I chopped my hair off! About 12 inches, donated to locks of love! I was scared and almost chickened out, but Heather made sure that didn't happen! I went down to Orem where Heather Nitta was finishing up school and she did a fabulous job! Her patience with me as I tried to explain what I wanted and didn't want was awesome! I love what she did, finally told me to be quiet and she was going to finish the way she imagined it! It was weird for a few weeks, but I love it!

Poop update!
Well, the poop cultures all came back negative, so I had to take Braxton up to Primary's to have his blood drawn to test for different viruses and allergies. The doc called Friday afternoon and let me know everything came back negative. Good....but now what? Well, the poop had slowed down, but is still not solid. It still is TOTALLY smelly and burns your nose! So, now we hope that it continues to slow down and solidify. If not, then doc wants to know about it and we head to a stomach specialist. Let's pray it does not get that far! I don't think I have ever prayed about poop before!!!

My Christmas!
So, I had mentioned earlier that for Christmas Josh was re-doing our oak table for me. Well....my hand man finished it for me and I am IN LOVE!! I love surprises, so I kept out of the garage until it was done. I didn't know what he was doing, and trusted that he knew what I had envisioned. Josh likes to make furniture, or anything out of wood for that matter, so I think he had fun with it! I had also mentioned to him that a while back I had seen this set of frames on a blog that were really cool. They were very simple and displayed in a big box on a big wall, not collage style. Lately I am into clean lines, and simple designs. We didn't really have many pictures up of the boys, and this of course had to be changed. So...he went and got me some fun things to decorate our home with as well! I love it! Thanks babe for putting forth the effort in making this house our home!

Poop poop poop
So for about the past month Braxton has had some major diarrhea going on. Now I consider myself to be a pretty tough mom. Dirt, poop, food on clothes, these types of things don't scare me. I can handle chaning a dirty diaper...but man...the smell that comes from these diapers litteraly make my eyes water and I have to physically control my gag reflex. It started with the flu and then never really went away. With him being my second, I did not rush to the doctors office. I knew he was teething, and I knew if he just had a virus there was nothing they could do about it. This last Thursday while at the mall he had 3 major explosions within 15 minutes of eachother. I threw away clothes while there and he came home in just a long sleeved shirt and a dirty diaper. I had had enough, so I called the Dr. We went in on Friday afternoon and I stumped the good man. No fever, he acts just fine, just poops alot. So, we got the glorius task of collecting a stool sample this weekend and rushing it to a lab to test for bacteria, parasites, etc. We are still awaiting the results. So, this morning during breakfast he had another blow out. I took him upstairs and directly to the tub. All the clothes were in there and the diaper, so it smelled really bad. Trenton came in and we had the following conversation:
T: Why is Braxton in the bath?
M: Why is he in the bath? Take a big sniff and you tell me. (just as I said that Trenton inhaled very deeply)
T: Eeew....it smells like the zoo in here.
So there you have it ladies and gentlemen...their is definatly something wrong with my little man....he smells like the zoo!!!
