Easter Egg Hunt
We did an Easter Egg Hunt outside at Grandma and Grandpa's house right before dinner. The boys were so cute looking around the yard. They actually did pretty well this year. Daddy thought it would be good to put some high in tree branches to make the big boys work for them. Trenton was not too happy when he jumped up to reach it, just to have the egg fall out of the tree and all the contents into the grass. He gave Dad a nasty look when the camera was put in his face! Braxton wanted to do it all on his own this year. He even saw some that were high and tried his hardest to get them all by himself! They are so cute!

Easter
Easter was fun this year...Braxton loved all the festive things that go with it. He LOVED being a big boy and painting his Easter eggs all by himself. I love to watch little hands at work!

Daddy even got into the fun this year. I guess it helped that he had just received his stamp showing he is a licensed architect. He spent about a week stamping anything he could find...eggs, people, paper..you name it!

Easter morning the boys could hardly stand the anticipation of finding their baskets. I love the excitement on their faces in this picture!
The Easter bunny is going to have to try a little harder on hiding Braxty's next year...he found it a little too quickly! Actually, in looking back at last year's pictures, I think the Easter Bunny might have hidden his basket in the same spot...oops!
The boys ended up eating candy for breakfast! How can you let them find a basket full of goodies and not let them try everything? Braxton wasn't too sure about Trenton's cotton candy at first, but then he decided it was pretty good!

Baby Animals
Once a year This is The Place Park has all their baby animals out for the kids to touch and hold. We were able to make it up this particular weekend and experience all the new little lives. The boys loved it! They were able to submit names for the baby pigs after they touched them. They also touched baby goats and baby lambs. The favorite spot was the tub of baby chicks in which the kids got to reach in and pick them up. Trenton was so gentle with them and was begging to take one home. My personal favorite was holding the baby bunnies...I must admit, I was looking online for awhile after to see what it entailed to be a bunny owner! They were also able to hold baby ducklings! Trenton still talks about buying some baby chicks, but then I explain they get big and gross and he wouldn't be able to hold them anymore! He even had a hard time eating chicken for a couple days after! It was a great experience and we look forward to it again next year!

Jungle Jim's Playtime
I love the coupon sites that are on the Internet now! We found one to Jungle Jim's and thought it would be fun to go during Trenton's spring break. The kids had a good time...it was nice Trenton could go on everything by himself, and even take Braxton on rides with him. I went on the first ride with Braxton...the carousel, and he was terrified. I don't know why, he has been on rides before, but he was so happy when it was over!

After the scary carousel I took Braxton over to the playground area, something that I know he loves. But...it just didn't cut it. He was traumatized! He stuck pretty close to me for a while until I threw him on a couple of rides with his brother and then he relaxed a bit. But of course, all he wanted to do was play all the games. So, Grandma gave in and all the kids got some tokens! They ended up having a great time and can't wait to go back!
It was a fun time...can't wait to do more things like this over the summer when I DON"T have to worry about coming home to do homework!
