Cousin Gustavo
The boringness of January was highlighted with a visit from our adopted cousin Gustavo! Gustavo came to live with the Weir's for an exchange program for 6 months a year or so ago from Brazil. He instantly became a part of the family and we were all so sad to see him go home. He is one smart cookie and took advantage of the fact that his sister came for a couple of weeks on a different exchange program and wanted to make sure she was safe!! It was so good to see Cousin again! We love and miss him so much!

Trenton's Award
Every year at Altara Elementary the kids have a chance to earn a pin that goes on a school flag with an award. Trenton earned this award and was presented the award by Mr. Jameson. Mrs. Johnson nominated him for this award for "being a great reader, and a good friend." He was so excited to bring home the invitation to us! He made sure to call his Dad and Grandma right away and invite them to the presentation on the Friday morning! He looked so small in the line of students who were receiving the award that day. I still have a hard time with my baby being in Kindergarten. I can't believe that he is going to be away from me for most of the day starting in August...ok...no more soap box! Anyways, we are so proud of all that you have accomplished thus far in school Trenton. You are such a good student and we love you so much. Congrats on this accomplishment sweet boy...can't wait to watch you fill up that flag!

Gingerbread Train
It has become a tradition to build and decorate a gingerbread house ever since Trenton was born. This year Grandma and Grandpa spoiled us and bought it for us, but they bought a train! The boys loved it! Braxton wanted to be right in the middle of it all and Trenton was not quite sure how to handle that at the beginning since it is usually just he and Dad doing most of it as I take pictures. But, like he always does, he helped his brother along and guided him in the fun!
