Today was Western Days at Challenger. For the past week Trenton has come home telling me about stories of cowboys out on the range with their horses and bandanas so "smoke and dust won't get into their noses!" So today they got to dress up in their best western gear and spend the day out on the range!
For their first adventure they came across a bridge that they had to cross, and then they had to go up and over a mountain while on their horses!

Then they even had a campfire that they got to roast their marshmellows over!

They then spent some time looking up at the stars and seeing what kind of animals they could see being made out of the stars. They were then instructed to zip up their sleeping bags, put their hats over their heads and go to sleep!

After their 2 second night they got to draw themselves on a WANTED poster!

The last part of the day was spent out on the playground where I finally got to see the famous sand box that Trenton talks about every time he comes home. He spent the whold play time in it!

It was so much fun seeing him in his classroom enjoying his friends and teachers and listening to them all get so imaginative. And yes...I was a dork and dressed up a little too!
