So Josh has decided that he is not fond of having lawn to look after. You see....they have named the city we live in accordingly. Sandy. That's all our ground is made of. Therefore, it does nothing but suck the water down and lets our lawn die. Even with watering twice a day, there are some patches that are just not working out for us! In the front mow strip we had a big dry spot. Once the grass finally completely died, ice ivy (at least that is what Josh calls it) took over the spot. Josh said he thought we should leave it...at least it is green. Me on the other hand, I got sick of looking at these weedy things and thought it was time to pull it all out to at least give the lawn a shot at growing back there. So, as Josh mowed the lawn, the boys and I went to work at pulling the ivy out. Of course, how are boys supposed to help with such a task and not get totally dirty? I finally had to stop and take some pics of Braxton's dirty face. Of course, he was trying to eat the dirt.
Trenton got bored and decided it was time to play with some toys and ride his bike. Of course, baby had to get in on the action with big brother.
Now...funny story about Josh. The first time he mowed our lawn out front, baby and I decided to go sit on the door step and watch. Josh had not realized that we were out there yet and as he was going under our oh so lovely pine tree he says out loud to himself "Dang, this thing is so low!" I immediately started laughing and he realized he was being watched and got caught talking to himself!
Maybe next year we will get a handle on the grass BEFORE it has a chance to die and weeds take over. But neighbors, we promise until then to not let it start looking like a white trash yard too bad!!!!

what a pretty yard you have. we laid our own sod and some of it has died. it makes me so sad:(((((
Funny grass story, years ago the house across the street's grass was totally dead. The people that lived there then were so happy the next year when the grass greened up. That is until it bloomed. Their yard was full of purple weed flowers. It was so pretty, but not to them.
Ya just gotta love yard work! Most of the time it isn't so bad but sometimes ya just wanna ignore it! I love the diagonal lines! They've always been my favorite. They look FANTASTIC!
Haha, that story about Josh talking to himself is funny, made me laugh!
